Johann Georg Krünitz completed the first 72 volumes of his encyclopaedia before his death in 1796.
Continued by Friedrich Jakob Floerken, then by Heinrich Gustav Flörke, and now by Johann Wilhelm David Korth for a total of 242 volumes until 1858.
