Re: Dick Clark
Per Weeks Roses: "the name and picture cannot be published until June 1st" 2010, since it's an AARS winner for 2011.
From what I've seen it has large substantial blooms, cherry edges turning burgundy and dark red with cream centers. Excellent show form, long stems, healthy foliage. Moderate cinnamon spice fragrance. Said to grow best in Midwest and SW as the sun brings on the color show.

I special ordered one specimen of "the Yeoman" from Amity. I had to wait a while for delivery, but they were excellent at responding to my requests as to when I could expect delivery (even though I felt like a pest, I swallowed my guilt and kept e-mailing them). Finally, the Yeoman showed up at my door, healthy as can be! It was quite small, but as they grow plants on their own roots, I was not expecting a large specimen. Its been in the ground for about three months, and is getting ready to pop its first three flowers. I had one initial blossom that was beautiful. Amity did fine by me :)

"UPDATE LISTING AS OF DATE" is not saving. Since one of your approved "helpers" completely undid all the updating I'd done last season (hours worth of work) trying to be helful without asking me, I'd appreciate this feature fixed so that your helpers know I'm updating our own listing. Thanks,

Janet,
Please contact support -at- HelpMeFind.com to describe your situation in detail so we can research what happened and why.
Presumably, someone here updated you HMF listing using information from your website. Would that have been a problem ? We have not seen this problem before but we can well understand your frustration.
We would also like to better understand why your updating took hours. Our rose list upload feature allows one to update their list in minutes. We use it here to create new or freshen old lists of hundreds and even thousands of roses. We have worked very hard to make the maintaining of a HMF listing quick and easy. If you are not finding that to be the case then we have work to do and we hope you will help us to improve our site.

Janet......
For now, I'll put note on the nursery listing to say that you are maintaining your own listing.
Entering and updating your listing should only take a few minutes instead of hours. If you have a file with your currerent inventory listings, you can use it to upload the whole list at once. Unmatched rose names will show in Bold to the left of the list and options for that rose will be to the right. All you need to do is click the correct radio button. If you want to see more information about the rose before you choose that radio button, you can click on the blue rose name and it will take you to the rose page. (This helps when a rose name has been used for more than one rose). If you have any problems with this, you can contact support -at- helpmefind.com.

Thank you for noting on our site that we are updating it ourselves. I doubt using our listing would "upload" easily as it looks like the CRL listings with lots of other info on each variety. For now I've been deleting varieties using the "current list" option, and then I add new varieties with your "alpha" list or the "look up" option. It does take a good bit of time to do this. I don't know what source Mel used last year thinking he was helping me, but I only realized a few days ago when I went to look at our list that about half of the varieties were not listed. I had initially just figured that he would have not copied all of the generic names over which I include, but it seems to have been a much more drastic issue (fortunately we had a great year anyway, even though I never had a chance to undo what he'd done). He said our situation was what prompted hmf to add the "date updated" to the listing. I hope you can fix that.
Thanks,
Janet

The "date updated" date is not updated unless you update your listing using the file upload feature or do it manually. The theory is... updating a single plant does not necessarily mean the entire list has been updated.
Please contact the support dept about using the alphabetical list found on your website. Even with the additional information on each line it can be used to update your website very quickly with minimal effort.
