Greetings: I am the Secretary for the Greater Palm Beach Rose Society. The Society's Board has requested that I (the Secretary) update our Society page here on HelpMeFind, but it seems I cannot do so. Can you please either give me access rights for the Greater Palm Beach Rose Society listing or delete this Society listing so that I can create a 'New' Society page that we can maintain and update?

The Society page: Greater Palm Beach Rose Society (Palm Beach, Florida)

Thank you for your assistance in this matter. The favor of a reply is requested.

Kim Wendt
Society Secretary

Can you please make it so this Society Listing can accept PMs? The PMs should come to me here on HMF or if an email is needed, I added the email to the Society page. Still says that we've 'elected' to not accept messages at the moment. Can't seem to find where that setting would be...

Again, thank you for your help!

Go to your account and Edit Your Preferences. Turn your Post Notifications on and also Accept Preferences From All Members (or just your HMF friends).

Hi back and thank you. My personal account already is set to Accept PMs from all HMF members. It's the Society Page I now admin, that will not? accept PMs? Maybe because it's a free page? Or because I now admin this page, but was not the original creator - so maybe that person(s) had set it to OFF? Not sure.

I assume you may need to log onto your GPBRS account rather than your personal one.
I can see now that not all societies are set up the same on HMF. GPBRS does not have a 'Listing Admin' tab..

Currently, private messages only work for member to member communications.

Agree, but some societies (eg Chilean Rose Association, Knysna Rose Society) have a 'Listing Admin' tab which allows you to send a private message to the administrator for the site.
Is there a reason why not all sites are the same?

The DSD Fall Conference & Rose Show is set for October 13-15 2023 in Gainesville. The early bird registration discount ends on 8/31. The Rose Show will be fantastic, the Arrangements Workshop is always a hit, CRs will get credits for the speakers, vendors will be selling their wares (don’t forget to pre-order roses from Jim Mills-K&M Roses)

Note: The DSD is the Deep South District of the American Rose Society. It is composed of all the local rose societies in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Therefore, members of the Greater Palm Beach Rose Society are also members of the DSD.

Our Society is very active year round with garden walks, shows, workshops and many other events. Meetings are the 4th Monday night of each month, and start at 7:30pm at Mounts Botanical Garden located at 531 N. Military Trail in West Palm Beach. Visitors and guests are always welcome. We do take a summer siesta where we do not have monthly regular meetings. This allows us to rejuvenate.
