I purchased Easy Spirit because it was only $17 and I figured it might be a good filler rose for bouquets. However, I've been taken with its surprisingly large, silky cream blooms. They are so pretty and also have a decent tea fragrance, which I didn't expect. So far, it's been easy care, but I'll see how to does over the coming winter and into next spring.

One year old bushes are now blooming like a floribunda should! An outstanding performer for me in Zone 5b - came through winter unscathed. See photo I just uploaded.

I have 3 bushes of Easy Spirit, all planted in April 2021, all on Dr. Huey rootstock (Chicagoland Zone 5b). Easy Spirit is not your typical floribunda - it does not produce trusses of blooms on a single stem (as do Mandarin Ice and Marmalade Skies in my garden). It does like to bloom though. It's growth habit is somewhere in the middle between a hybrid tea and a floribunda.

Blooms are simply gorgeous - it has been disease free for me during our very dry 2021 season (I do spray every 10-14 days). My 3 bushes are clustered for maximum color effect and it has not disappointed. First year plant does have some drooping stems due to the bloom size. Hopefully that will lessen as the bushes mature.

Get this if you need a splash of pure white color but don't expect entirely floribunda behavior. The growth/bloom habit of Easy Spirit is similar to that of Oh My! - both very nice

2019 was a strange garden year, with a very long wet spring unusual for our climate. I also moved Easy Spirit a foot closer to a fence, and though I tried to keep as much root as possible I'm sure there was some regrowth needed. The net result was the bush appeared healthy and was disease-free but stayed small and had few blossoms (the general trend for my entire garden last year).

This year Easy Spirit has rebounded. It is almost three feet tall as of now, covered with buds and blooms, lush with leaves, and delectably fragrant. The blooms last a long time on the bush or in the vase. It continues to be disease-free. This is one of my favorite roses in my garden. I look forward to the hot days so its red picotee and "beauty spots" will appear.
