This medium pink tea deepens in summer by adding shades of rose to the very full blooms. The plant is extremely vigorous and makes a very large plant if left alone. The foliage is tough and disease resistant.

Mrs. B. R. Cant.  Tea.  Brilliant dark pink; beautiful when fully expanded and keeps well.  Blooms large, double, borne on long, stiff stems.  Strong grower and free bloomer.

Mrs. B. R. Cant (B. R. Cant & Sons, 1901): a very strong, hardy sort, shooting out long horizontal branches that bear many smallish, very double, deep-pink blooms with yellow- white blotches and tips. I think it is superlatively ugly for a rose, but many people like it, and it is reported to be most hardy and beautiful in North Carolina, where it grows into noble, spreading bushes. The foliage is tiny and sparse. I have never seen it troubled by disease.
