Moana MACbipi. McGredy 1978. (Seedling x 'New Penny'); medium to light pink; 20 reports; 33 bushes; 1-7 years; 50cm; 7.1 rating. One Otago reporter, having observed this mini for seven years, says "A wonderful display. Rose pink, plus yellow stamens. Good repeat, dark foliage and healthy. It is at its best when fully open." One reporter said that bloom repeat can be a little slow. 'Moana' seems to sleep a little in the heat. Everywhere it is regarded as a good, healthy garden mini.

Don Sheppard. Review of Newer Roses for 1986-87 Season
Moana McGredy 1978. Light pink; 10 reports; 20 bushes; 2 years; 1-8 years; 40cm. 7.1 rating. Only three reports last year, but seven this year. Two reporters are disappointed - Taranaki because of fading and a poor bush and Manawatu because it is ordinary and lacks form. The other eight reporters from Auckland to Southland say it is very good in all respects. The pretty pink buds open quite fast and become frilly edged. Repeat is a little slow, but the blooms stand all weathers and the bush is healthy and foliage dark green. Worthwhile.
