While becoming increasingly rare in gardens, Pharaoh is still well worth growing. Given the title in Lyon, 1967 as “The Most Beautiful Rose of France", the rose is definitely eye catching. To balance a previous member’s comment about black spot, Pharaoh after a month of rain performed as well as the great majority of roses in a no spray garden.

I grow this rose for over 15 years. I don't complain about it. First of all it attract by very large sizes of flowers. Thogh the variety has very serious shortcoming - very succeptable to black spot. I think that is the reason that it disapeared from the market.
