Bred by David C. H. Austin (1926-2018) (United Kingdom, before 1997).
Introduced in United Kingdom by David Austin Roses Limited (UK) in 1998 as 'Tess of the d'Urbervilles'.

Bloom:

Crimson. Strong, old rose fragrance. 41 petals. Average diameter 4". Large, very full (41+ petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters, cupped, nodding or "weak neck" bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Short, armed with thorns / prickles, bushy. Medium, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.

Height: 3' to 8' (90 to 245cm). Width: 42" (105cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for cut flower or garden.
