Bloom:
Apricot - copper, ages to lighter . Bronzy-brown. Coffee-apricot. Moderate, musk, sweet fragrance. 30 to 35 petals. Average diameter 2.75". Medium, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, classic hybrid tea, ruffled bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Medium, long sepals, long buds.
Habit:
Medium, compact, few or no prickles/thorns, upright, well-branched. Medium, glossy, bronze-green, dense, leathery foliage.
Height: 39" to 5¼' (100 to 160cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer. Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or garden. Hardy. vigorous. benefits from winter protection in colder climates. Blooms tend to ball in wet weather. Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot . Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) . Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).
