Book (1989) Page(s) 22. Conrad Harneiss: Climbers and Pillars. Sensass is another with no scent, but very free blooming, in a mid red with open blooms and yellow stamens. Moderate grower, but vigorous.
Book (1988) Page(s) 113. Don Sheppard. Final Analysis 1987-88. Climbers. Sensass Delbard 1974. dark red; 10 reports; 10 plants; 7 years; average 3m in height and width; 8.4 rating. Not widely grown, apparently, but reports came from Taranaki, Hastings to South Canterbury and all of them thought this was a worthwhile red clmber - even if similar to 'Dublin Bay'. Blooms come in clusters, in great numbers and repeat is fast. The plant is healthy and grows well. Blooms stand all weathers well, but the spring display is best.
Book (1982) Page(s) 26. Don Sheppard. Review of Newer Roses 1981-82 Season. Sensass Cl. (Delbard '74) 1 report, 1 year, 4'6". ? rating. Similar to Dublin Bay in repeat, appears to be good, but early days yet.
