Book (1982) Page(s) 32. Final Analysis 1981-82 ‘Esperanza’. (Delforge 1966). ‘Donald Prior’ x ‘Reverence’) Rating 7.8. This bright red Polyantha rose started with high ratings from reporters, but over the years it has fallen to only average. It grows to around three or four feet, covered in darkish-green glossy foliage which is remarkably healthy. The semi-single florets come in large well formed heads, age quite well and drop cleanly. The repeat is quite fast for such large heads. A worth while garden rose.
Website/Catalog (1982) Page(s) 8. ‘Esperanza’ Semi-double orange red blooms in large trusses.
Website/Catalog (1982) ‘Esperanza’. A truly great floribunda. It is tough, hardy, disease resistant, very recurrent blooming and the semi-double orange red blooms are in huge well spaced rounded trusses. The flowers are very tolerant to adverse weather conditions so age very slowly.
Book (1980) Page(s) 93. Mr. H. L. Jack, East Moonah, Tasmania. ‘Esperanza’. Rounded trusses of orange red blooms which spread well over the whole bush and is very colorful in the garden. Vigorous and weather resistant.
