Origin:
Bred by Francis Dubreuil (France, 1894).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1897 as 'Francis Dubreuil'.

Tea.  
Bloom:
Crimson, maroon shading.  Crooked stalks.  None to mild, apple fragrance.  Small to medium, very double, borne mostly solitary, cupped, nodding or "weak neck" bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright, well-branched.  Dark green foliage.  

Height: 8' to 9' (245 to 275cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
