While the story of Joan of Arc on the first page is a nice addition, I wonder if this varietal name might refer to John the Baptist. I am definitely not a French expert, but I thought that "Jean" was the French equivalent of "John". The name would be "Jeanne" if it referred to "Joan". Please correct me if I am wrong.
