'HADcup' rose Reviews & Comments

I think this rose is going to be shovel pruned. It has continuously bloomed in huge clusters that rot before they open, because they... cannot open properly, whether hot or cool weather. It also defoliated, when the roses next to it have not. I think the issue is with it being fungal prone, despite its good vigor and repeat bloom.

I have had this rose for a couple of months. So far it has had many delightful ruffly blooms of bright yellow. It has been really hot and dry here so this should be a real trial for its hardiness---especially since it is still in a pot.

Yeah, I see similar reports from friends of dry areas. It is definitely not areas like mine.

This is what makes rose growing so interesting. The rating system that we have for roses needs to be a more dimensional system that rates roses by area and conditions. HMF is one of my guides when I look for new roses. The comment section is a very useful tool. More people need to contribute to these comments on roses that they have grown. The person buying the rose needs to know the success of a rose in their area.

Is this rose meant to be in the list of roses bred by Harvey Davidson? When I click on his name and go to roses bred it is not on the list.

It is sort-of there in his plants bred listing. Under the registered name of HADcup.
