I don't agree with the description. This rose acts like a Bourbon with a good rebloom. Also the fragrance isn't mild but overpowering.

Hi. This rose is s typical bourbon , leaves , prickles etc . Very good scent. Blooms in flushes ( in my area roses reflower very little ) and good production of hips . Is the rose in commerce an impostor?

I agree with your points - superb scent, at least a decent second flush in autumn in most years, and a reasonable if not prolific amount of hips. I have three that have formed from crosses I have made this year, compared to 2 that didn't form.

I am really starting to think that this rose may well have been misidentified.

Can anyone tell me please if this rose sets hips, and if so, what the resulting seedlings are like?

Edit - October 2017: I have two hips, one O.P. and one from a hand-pollinated cross. Large and beautiful. Orange-golden yellow colouring. Contained around 10-12 seeds, 8 of which were fertile. See picture that I upload in the photos section. I shall have to see what the seedlings are like, assuming some germinate.
