White or white blend. Pink or white. Average diameter 1.5". Small, double (17-25 petals) bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Climbing. 3 leaflets.
Height: up to 11½' (up to 350cm). Width: up to 8'2" (up to 250cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Vigorous. heat tolerant. prefers full sun. prefers warmer sites. Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

Notes:
See References for speculation that R. anemoneflora is a natural hybrid of R. banksiae and R. moschata. The synonym Rosa triphylla has been applied to at least two different species: R. laevigata and R. anemoneflora. The first has large single blooms, while the second bears a striking resemblance to R. x fortuneana.
