Dense shrub of carnation-like roses up to 250 cm in height; spikes are the same, curved; 5 leaflets, less often 7, elliptical, 25-30 mm long and 15-20 mm wide, bare on both sides, bottom along the veins with ferruginous, sometimes glands are also observed on the upper side of the leaflets. Carnation-like rose flowers in few-flowered inflorescences, rarely single, about 5 cm in diameter; pedicels 8–12 mm long, less often sparsely glandular; sepals cirrus [? перистые], after flowering bent down, fall to the redness of the fruit; head stigma loose, pubescent. Fruits are smooth, ovate-spherical or elliptical, red when ripe; nutlets are located on the inner wall or only at the bottom of the fruit. Distribution: Central Europe, South Eastern Europe, the Caucasus.
