Sir Harry Pilkington  HT. (Tantau, 1973): I reported enthusiastically on this rose, as seen in England in 1973, in the 1974 Australian Rose Annual, under its temporary name of 'Melina'. That name has been officially cancelled. A very fine dual purpose, bright crimson rose on a fairly vigorous plant. Sir Harry, now Lord Pilkington, the English glass magnate, is a member of the Council of the R.N.R.S. and a leading exhibitor in England. Formerly this rose was named 'Tanemi', but that too was cancelled.
