Book (2008) Page(s) 747. In Germany, a much used cultivar has been Die Pillnitzer Vitaminrose 'PiRo 3', a hybrid between R. dumalis and R. pendulina. This cultivar has a very high vitamin C content, 1200 mg/ 100 g fruit flesh, and has been grown mainly in Germany together with genotypes of R. villosa subsp. pomifera cv. 'Karpatia' from Slovakia (Albrecht, 1993).
