Hybridized by Frank Strickland, the hybridizer who gave us Saint Patrick, this hybrid tea is capable of producing blooms of astonishing beauty. The coloration defies description, a good picture is worth a thousand words. The blooms are highly variable both in color and form, however, every now and then there is a bloom that will blow your mind. Form can be good but rarely perfect. Stems are arrow straight and the foliage almost touches the blooms. Mildew tolerance is pretty good; the blooms are surprisingly tolerant of botrytis. The plant is most attractive.Thrips can be a problem. The rose is at its best in cool sunny weather, the blooms lose the magical colors and downsize and flatten in heat. At this time the rose is not widely available.
