I planted this Nightingale rose two years ago and overall am pleased with my plant. It is vigorous growing and winter hardy so far in my zone 5b/6a garden. The flowers are electric pink and have excellent form and substance but I don't detect any fragrance at all. It will develop a little powdery mildew late in the fall if I get lazy with spraying, but so far I have seen no blackspot at all on the foliage. The flowers make a nice addition to a vase of flowers in the home as they are very vibrant and shapely. Just be sure to cut it at the proper stage as the blooms for me don't continue to open once they are cut. The upside is that the cut bloom holds that form like iron. The bush itself is upright but not overly tall, getting only about 3' to 4' tall at the most. This is a good rose in my garden.
