Bred by Marchesseau (1830s) (France, 1832).
Introduced in France by Pierre Rousseau in 1834 as 'Hermosa'.
Introduced in Australia by Exotic Nursery (Australia) in 1851 as 'Hermosa'.

Bloom:
Light pink.  Mild fragrance.  35 petals.  Average diameter 3".  Medium, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Fragrant, rounded buds.  
Habit:
Lax, suckers on its own roots.  3 to 5 leaflets.  

Height: up to 3' (up to 90cm).  Width: up to 2' (up to 60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 10b.  Hardy.
