From 1926 series of Will's Cigarette Cards (No 44) NATIONAL EMBLEM (Hybrid Tea) A bedding rose of free branching habit, and one which is almost impervious to mildew. The flowers, which are of moderate size and well formed, with high pointed centres, are borne on long stems, and sweetly perfumed. Requires a sheltered position, and should be pruned to within four "eyes" about the second week in March, taking care to remove all unripe wood. Introduced in 1915.
