I recently moved to southern California and planted a Nancy Reagan in a new rose garden. It's been one of my most successful roses, and I just added a second one a couple of weeks ago. Lots of flowers with lovely color and form and minimal problems with mildew and aphids here.

This is my second year with this rose. This spring was very rainy and cool and Nancy was gorgeous. a creamy silvery apricot of classic HT form. Blooms held and held. Later bloom has been less generous, a brighter orange with so so form. Wish it always looked like I did this spring. I woild probably buy it again

I have had very good luck with this rose...in the spring! (It is naturally planted next to the beautiful Ronald Reagan rose.) I, too, wonder what happened to the vigorous blooming of the plant earlier in the year. The greenery is beautiful, but I wonder if I could have used more fertilizer to promote more growth? Ronald Reagan, meanwhile, puts "her" to shame!

My xperience is exactly the same. I planted her next to Ronnie and he does outperform her hands down. The bloom quantity and rebloom rate are really not good enough in my opinion. In fact, if my Nancy doesn't improve this year, she will probably get the boot for a better apricot. I would hate to break her and Ronnie up, but life is too short and there are too many roses out there looking for a good home like my garden!!
