The best red floribunda/cluster flowered rose. Tough, disease-free, always in bloom, intense RED flowers seem to last forever, foliage is attractive, plant habit is compact, even and easily managed. If it were just fragrant, it might be called a perfect rose!

I use organic ( Stone's ) Rose fertilizer in zone 10 and it is very fragrant.

Definitely a favorite. No BS in the hot humid deep South, and never without blooms--gorgeous blooms that stay that way on both the bush and in a vase. Very easy to grow--no Diva this one. Love it.

Based on everyone's comments I planted this rose last year. While it bloomed like crazy, it was decimated by blackspot each year. I live in the NY area, and with all the rain we've gotten, this rose was totally covered with blackspot. I finally gave up and removed it. A real disappointment considering how many blooms it had.

Try Milano Kolorscape. Similar color and size, without the healthy issues and mean prickles.

I got two of these roses last year and just love the flowers' form and color. But this year when I dormant-pruned them, I discovered they have large 2 inch crown galls on the canes -- 4-5 on each plant. The galls developed so quickly, I think they must have been infected when I bought them. Is this variety very susceptible to galls on the canes? Anybody have an experience like this?
