3 or 4 year old Peggy Martin. It’s glorious! I prune it once a year, right after its big spring flush. I let the vines get nice and long the rest of the year and wait for this gorgeous display in April. It never disappoints! This is the most hardy and carefree rose. I bought a second Peggy Martin last year and neglected it in the nursery pot on my back porch for about 6 months. It endured the Texas summer with no love from me. Around November I decided the poor thing deserved to be planted because it had really stuck it out through the worst. It’s about 2 feet tall and happily blooming its little head off on the other side of my yard. You can’t go wrong with Peggy! Texas zone 8b.
