Niobe was the best first year clematis I had ever seen. It just keeps getting better. 4th year performance has it rated in our top 3. Rebloom is pretty sparse, only a few dozen blooms.

I purchased this clematis in May 2004.  I live in South Texas zone 7/8, so there was some question in my mind about the sometimes severe heat that definitely occurs in summer and may occur in spring.  There was initial difficulty but as of April 2006 I have five concurrent blooms and 30 buds.  In my book, that's a eureka.  It looks lovely on a beautiful iron arbor that my husband gave me.
