Breeder's notes:
I believe this has excellent potential. Its fragrance is superb and matches the bloom color beautifully. I have propagated this seedling (Fall 2009) and expect to see improved vigor in the plant in 2010. Often a seedling performs better once it has been propagated, exceeding the original seedling's vigor. Why this is I have no idea.
Update 2024: In the past 2 years, a few friends have grown this rose in climates different from my own and the rose has performed better than expected. And so, I have decided to formally register this variety as ARDclara (Clara Thomson). I have sent this out for propagation, and the nursery will undoubtedly announce availability when it has plants to offer.
