The filaments of the stamens are yellow at the top, and deep cherry pink at the base, though the latter feature varies in color intensity from one year to the next.

The amount of notching in leaflets of the compound leaves varies greatly - from none at all, especially near the top of the plant, to fairly deep, especially near the base of the plant.
