A Damask Shrub ...[but] a comparatively modern rose. A chance seedling found by Robert James, St. Nicholas, Yorkshire in 1950. Possibly a cross between a Damask and a Gallica. Repeats. Height: 180 cm (6 ft.) Richly scented.
