Perhaps not too surprising given the assumed parentage, but while sorting through seedlings noticed a number of thornless ones from OP but not from intentional crosses, assumption a lot of the of the OP are self fertilized and the foliolosa thornless is recessive to rugosa thorns. May be on interest/use to someone.

I assume the lack of autumn foliage pictures is because it's not attractive....mine's all yellow and spotty, while other rugosa and rugosa hybrids (except schneezwerg...it's kind of ugly too) are clean yellow leaves.

The flowers shown in the pictures of "Anne Endt" look a lot like my rose 'Germanica'. About 'Germanica' the Vintage Gardens Book of Roses, 2006 ed. has this description "3-inch, single, lipstick purple flowers of poppy-like simplicity. ..." p. 330. That description fits what I have in my yard, but does not match with the pale pink shown on the pictures on HMF.
Has anyone considered 'Germanica' as an ID for the found "Anne Endt"?

How does the leaf shape of “Anne Endt” match with your ‘Germanica’?

This is a rose to pass around as suckers. It is very uncooperative with budding onto Dr Huey or multiflora.

True Margaret. I tried budding it with no success last season.
