Origin:
Discovered by François Cels (France, before 1810).
Introduced in Australia by Camden Park in 1843 as 'Unique Rouge'.
Class:
Centifolia, Gallica / Provins.  
Bloom:
Pink.  Strong fragrance.  Medium to large, moderately full bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
'Unique rose' is probably a reversion of 'Unique blanche' to R. centifolia- see References.
'Unique Anglaise' is possibly a distinct rose.
