Bred by Alister Clark (1864-1949) (Australia, 1931).

Bloom:
Red.  Mild fragrance.  Semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Climbing.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for cut flower.

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
The profits from the sale of this rose were presented to the Ivanhoe Horticultural Society.

'Roseate' may have been bred prior to 1918. Refer 1918 reference. Or did Alister re-use this name for his 1931 introduction?
