The Armstrong firm are also offering Fiesta, a sport of The Queen Alexandra Rose, found in the garden of a California amateur, Charles Hansen. It has its parents' poor plant, but the vermilion of the face of the petals is striped and flecked with golden yellow, a kind of broken tulip effect which will appeal to admirers of things bizarre.
