Ruston's Roses, South Australia, zone 9b, late spring. It extends along the road verge (somewhere under it is Silver Moon), and almost all the way up the tree. That's an adult looking at it.

Valley Village, California ~~ 12 Aug 2012 after 5 days of 100°F and three consecutive 70+°F nights ~~ This rose shipped in a band pot from Rogue Valley Roses 11 Oct 2011, 10 months before this picture was taken, and I potted it in a 40 gallon pot out by the pool. I got a few blooms in February and March, but since then it has been busy growing up its pillar without so much as a bud. It is now 13'/4m off the ground, with around a dozen fat new canes erupting at the base, and still no sign of flowering. Am now afraid my 40 gallon pot is too small.
