Light pink Hybrid Tea.
Exhibition name: La France

Bred by Jean-Baptiste André (fils) Guillot (1827-1893) (France, 1867).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1873 as 'La France'.

Hybrid Tea.  

Light pink, silver(y) shading.  Strong, lemon, rose fragrance.  60 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Medium to large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, globular, nodding or "weak neck" bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  

Upright.  

Height: 3' to 5' (90 to 150cm).  Width: 3' (90cm).

USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  

Triploid

Rarely sets a few hips in favorable years.

There is no record, but many different opinions, of parentage.
