Early spring exuberance. I was hoping this young plant was a climbing form, but it won't climb if it uses its energy that way. South Australia, zone 9b. Blakiston schoolhouse garden.

South Australia, zone 9b, early spring. In the 1980s in Australia, a found rose was thought to be Mme de Watteville, and I can see why. But then it reverted to Comtesse de Labarthe.
With Marie Nabonnand.

An odd cluster of pink-edged blooms near the base of Mme Joseph Schwartz - Brisbane Cottage rose beds, Araluen Botanic Park, Perth, Western Australia, November 2022.
All other blooms were recognisably Mme Joseph Schwartz. Will keep an eye on it to see whether this is a once only variation.
