USDA zone 9b and warmer.  Benefits from winter protection in colder climates.  heat tolerant.  prefers warmer sites.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .

Notes:
The taxonomy of this rose is unclear. Some authorities consider is a synonym of Rosa clinophylla. Crépin thought it might be a hybrid with R. moschata and R. clinophylla.
