Origin: Bred by James Comley  (United States, before 1891).  Introduced in United States by John N. May  in 1892 as 'Francis B. Hayes'.  
Class: Hybrid Bourbon, Hybrid China, Tea.   
Bloom: Crimson.  Strong fragrance.  Small, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Medium buds.
