South Australia, zone 9, autumn. An unusual appearance, presumably weather-related. I haven't seen such a pale flower on it before, but it's not a sport, as there are similarly pale buds elsewhere on the plant. Photo angled to show pale reverses and petal nubs.

"Camnethan Cherry Red" growing strongly at the HRIA Repository of Teas, Chinas and Noisettes, Ruston's Roses, Renmark, Photographed in Spring 2010.
Sometimes, as seen here, the petal reverses are strikingly white-washed. This is not a typical look. More often there is only slight whitening or just a hint of lightness.

Heritage Roses in Australia Collection, Ruston's Roses, South Australia, zone 9b. In a cold wet spring. My own bush, largely unpruned, is more upright and dense than this one.
