It's not just roses that have labelling problems. I have a purple single clematis planted between two red climbing roses because it was labelled double white, and a Nashi which is a Manchurian pear.
Given the rate at which we are losing nurseries that specialise in heritage roses, we need to support the few remaining to us, while being cautious about the accuracy of what they're selling.
