Out of all of the Bucks I have grown, and I have grown many, and have seen even more that I have grown, this would make my Top 5 Bucks roses. It is so easy and it always looks nice. It's only caveat is that it needs placement and not something one would line a bed with. But I could say that same for Queen Elizabeth, Selfirdges, Alexander, Oklahoma, Dolly Parton, or Mr. Lincoln, et al.
The blooms are larger than expected, and they are on the romantic side. The foliage is boxy and intricate, and the rebloom is typical. Mine has never had disease here, as well. Not even downy or anthracnose. It is possible it could be prone to a race of black spot elsewhere, but it does not seem prone to the 2 predominant races in my environment.

The fragrance is surprisingly strong.
EDIT (2021): I just came here to say mine is blooming again, and I was going to say the EXACT same thing I said 2 years ago lmao. Funny.
Anyway, yeah, it catches me off guard. Its quite strong, sweet, some rose tint to the smell.
The blooms do have a subtle mauve tint to the spring blooms that I don't see in the summer blooms. Very easy plant. I have mine growing when I don't water. Ever. It does just fine. Quite healthy. It's a little bigger than Distant Drums, but not by much. I imagine it would trail upwards like seen in the photos if left unpruned, but it seems fine pruned too.

From the 1970s ARS Rose Annual, I have found out the parentage is: Dornröschen' x Andante
