Rose Delectante
This rose is still listed in the 1851 Wilhelmshöhe catalogue. Schelhas too gives it in 1808, 1825 and 1831 as R. gallica with the additional epithet, 'Die Ergötzende' (the Delightful).
In the "Dictionnaire des Roses" by Singer 1885, it is given as R. damascena by Vibert with a description corresponding to this Picture. Simon/Cochet 1906 no longer lists the name.
