Spring spot flowering (2023-10-02). I remember there was a bit of a heat wave around then, and it melted. Colour isn’t as saturated in person.

First blooms of the cutting Margaret Furness sent me around 2018/19 (2022-11-15). Has gotten a bit bigger since then but the habit of long canes with tufts of leaves on the end is more or less the same. I’ve found it sometimes it will try to push basal shoots in the middle of summer which isn’t great because the foliage is quite thin and turns to a crisp if there’s a heatwave (I usually just move it to the shade if I think it’ll get too hot). Likes to spot flower, blooms smell delicious but if it’s hot they just melt. (Sydney, Zone 10)

South Australia, zone 9b, mid-summer. I consider it the best of the found HPs gathered for the Renmark collection.

Left, "Balhannah", right, "Miss Curry". "Balhannah" sets few hips; it has an occasional seed, but not in the hip photographed.

South Australia, mid-spring. Zone 9b. Mid-late summer. The silvery tone is probably partly artefact.
