The assessment of Pom is that 'Hejdegårds Rödä' is a sport of 'Orleans Rose'. Otherwise its nearest relatives are 'Öjas Karna' in the Multiflora group and 'Hejdegårds Cerisa' in the Polyantha group. Their similarity index is 57,0 respectively 50,0%. The next nearest sorts are 'White Dorothy' ....'Orange Triumph' ... and 'Aglaia'... Their similarity indices are 35,3, 35,0 and 29,4% respectively.  The similarity index of 'Hejdegårds Rödä' with Schneewittchen' [of Lambert] is 23,5% and with the species Rosa multiflora and Rosa wichurana 16,7%.
