Each flower's immense outer petals cradle five inner petals, which in turn encircle the largest grouping of stamens [Osborne has] seen in a rose... sunshine-yellow color... vigorous and thorny stems, which can be trained to form a spectacular climber, one that is perfectly happy to spend the winter in the chill wind... healthy deep green foliage.

Description. Parentage: Rosa rugosa x 'Sombreuil'. 'Blanc Double de Coubert' is white. It is a vigorous, fragrant shrub. The first bloom resembles a swarm of large white butterflies. It is a robust grower and a thicket-type bush, sending suckers outward as it grows.

Parentage unknown, Rosa alba hybrid, two forms. Description... The most common form is Maiden's Blush Great. The less common is Maiden's Blush Small... still popular after 500 years... fragrant... blue-tinted foliage... hardy... It is fairly easy to root, but blackspot can pose a problem under greenhouse conditions, causing the leaves to drop about the time the roots form.
