I'd start by looking at Mme Plantier and Mme Hardy. Does it have many prickles?

Thank you, they look very much alike! I'd say Plantier has the buds more pink? I don't recall it having very many prickles. I took the photo years ago and can't remember it well, at the photo I do not see many prickles though.I add the other photo I made, with the buds.

We find Mme Plantier in old derelict gardens here, because it may have been used as an understock. Mme Hardy is popular with people who plant heritage roses, in recent decades. I don't think I can help you more, but your rose looks lovely.

This summer I did buy a delicious rose, named fallstaff. All the flowers have a missing piece, don't know how to explain, they never bloom fully, they miss a quarterpiece. I do believe this is a breeding failure, as it continious this second blloming and I cannot discover any bug or so making this similar thing all the time. Will this last?
I could send pictures if this question is not clear.
Thanks in advcance for your interest!

I had a similar experiene with 'William Shakespeare' by the same breeder. The blooms were repeatedly misformed. The plant might grow out of this as it gets older, but it might as well not. I would give it another year.

Did your plant grow out of it or was it also recently and don't you know yet?

It still does it. I will see how it does next year, then decide.

After blooming this summer, I did cut the stems at the right place. Now I have 3 roses, in different places, that are growing stems with seven-leaf-configurations. This seems very peculiar to me. Is it the weather, that was rather wet? I know of 7 leafconfigurations that appear from underneath, but these are in the middle of the older stems. They are not yet blooming, I live in Europe and the roses do have to bloom again. Do I have to cut these stems now or let them come and watch what roses come out and cut them next spring?
