Evelyn after several months of drought in a 'waterless' garden east of Los Angeles, November 2020. Although the plant has survived, it may not be adapted to the severe conditions: it shows some 'blind' shoots upon the winter rains and takes a long time to set flower buds during the winter growing season. The succulent is Aloe dawei.
