I planted it last winter. It is healthy, vigorous, the extremely numerous thorns are thin and so far not armful. Good scent, nice little round flowers. It is a once-flowering rose but the blooming period is very long, a little bit more than two months if I include the very last buds.

I will upload pictures later, but I planted Blanc Pur (from Francia Thauvin) last Fall and so far it is reblooming ; three flushes since the beginning of Spring.

Hello Lukasz. This rose is looking great ! I haven't seen all of your breedings but I do love your pictures of Fresh Breeze and Barbara Skarga as well. Are they available at some nurseries in Europe ?

It's frustrating when that sort of thing happens. I've noticed that in the same book (Climbing Roses) the photo they use for 'Countess of Stradbroke' is the photo used for 'William Orr' in some American catalogues. We need more photos to determine which roses are which.

That is true, and I realize many modern roses are almost undocumented when it comes to pictures.

No, I hadn't. I am supposing that the earlier photo in Stevens' book is correctly labeled, and that the Inter-State nurseries later appropriated the photo for 'Stargold'. I will make a note to both
