Mr. S. J. Bisdee.  Tasmanian Notes.
Aroma. (1st year)  Growth good.  The flower seems to lack an indefinable something and is not convincing.  It is beautifully fragrant.  Colour is best early, does not hold well in hot weather, and at present (February) is more magenta than red.

p70. G. C. Hillary.  Roses in Western Australia.
Aroma might be a good garden rose, as it certainly grows well.

Aroma This variety well up to description, and shows plenty of promise.

p110.  Mr. John Poulsen, New Zealand Notes.
Aroma The early blooms faded badly, and were neither pink, nor red.  Later, however, they improved considerably, and were a light bright crimson, very showy, with a sweet fragrance.  The growth is strong and free.  Should do best in a cool season.
